Turn your passion for food system transformation into a food industry career
Responsible Food Careers is more than a job board or mentorship programme. We're a full-service career development organisation, built to give you the guidance, training, and network you need to land and thrive in food-business roles with real influence. Through one-to-one career planning, CV and LinkedIn support, personalised training, and access to experienced mentors, we're your first step towards a meaningful career shaping what food businesses buy.
Our services
Plan your path. One-to-one career planning with experienced coaches. We help you understand your strengths, choose between responsible sourcing, plant-forward, and broader sustainability routes, and map the steps to a role with real influence.
Join our network. Connect with mentors in food businesses and peers in similar roles to learn from them, share what works, join a community, and grow your influence together.
Land the role. Support with your CV, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, and interviews, plus help preparing applications for roles we've identified.
Once you secure a role, we'll keep in touch by continuing to share professional development events, supporting you in your next career moves, and, hopefully, partnering with you as a mentor for future candidates.
Who we're looking for
Responsible Food Careers is designed for exceptional individuals committed to driving meaningful change in the food industry. Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:
Strong passion for food system transformation
A demonstrated interest in improving how food is sourced, produced, and sold, even if that work isn't yet on your CV.
Proven track record or potential for excellence
Relevant professional experience or a strong academic background in fields such as food systems, agriculture, animal welfare, nutrition, procurement, supply chains, environmental science, or a related area.
Ambitious career goals
A clear aspiration to develop an impactful career within UK food businesses, with the drive to lead change.
Commitment to rigorous engagement
The time and dedication to participate in coaching, training, and mentoring. Depending on career stage and experience, candidates should dedicate 5-10 hours per month.
We welcome applications from recent graduates and early-career individuals, mid-career professionals looking to move into food-business roles, and those already working in food who want to amplify their impact.
Please note: This programme is focused exclusively on supporting candidates pursuing roles at UK food businesses. We can only accept candidates who are authorised to work in the UK.
