Join the people shaping what food businesses buy

Our peer network connects people working in food businesses, from first roles to senior leadership, to learn from each other, mentor, and make more impact in their roles.

The network launches in January 2027. Join the waitlist now.

Why join the network?

Whatever your level, you are making decisions that shape what a food business buys. The network gives you people to learn from, share with, and build influence alongside.

  • If you're earlier in your career. You get access to more senior mentors, a community of people in similar roles, and practical ways to perform better in your job and create more positive impact.

  • If you're more senior. You can mentor people earlier in their careers, share your knowledge and lived experience, and build a stronger network with other senior people, making more impact than your own role alone. Mentoring is voluntary.

What you'll do

Learn from others

Get advice from people with more experience, and learn how to perform better in your role.

Build your network

Meet people in similar roles across food businesses, at peer network sessions and in our online community.

Be an active member

Ask for help, respond to others, and foster a sense of community and shared purpose, within ground rules on confidentiality and competition law.

Mentor others, if you're more senior

You're paired with a mentee earlier in their career. You agree how often to meet, from monthly to quarterly, and mentoring sits alongside your job.

The network works because people take part. Regular engagement is required to remain a member.

Who the network is for

The network is for people already working in UK food, FMCG, and hospitality businesses, from first roles to senior leadership.

To be a mentor, we're also looking for a record of delivering change, for example a new sourcing standard, a plant-based range, or a move to higher-welfare suppliers, and regular time agreed with each mentee. Most mentors have 10 or more years' experience, but people earlier in their careers who have already delivered change are welcome too.

You don't need to tick every box. If you meet most of them, we'd like to hear from you.

  • A role close to buying decisions. Now or recently, in buying, category management, responsible sourcing, technical or quality, product development, sustainability, or supplier development.

  • A commitment to improving the food system. You want to bring more sustainable and ethical thinking to your work.

  • Openness to share and learn. You give candid advice while respecting confidentiality and competition law.
